After being absent from the garden for several days, this pair have spent most of the last 2 days in the garden, sun bathing on the lawn, having dust baths and generally wandering around.

Quiet day yesterday. Three Reed Buntings and two Grey Partridges in the garden. At HGF only one Black-necked Grebe was present - the Golden Plover has moved on. A Corn Bunting was back on territory on Parkside Rd, Newton.

Today two BNG's were present at HGF this morning. 2 Swallows and 6 Sand Martins also present with 7 Lesser Black-backed Gulls. When I got home from work the Grey Partridges were busy having a dust bath in the flower bed outside the conservatory (digiscoped from the bedroom window!) and 2 Yellowhammers and 4 male Reed Buntings were feeding nr the bird table at the back of the garden. 2 BNG's were at Pennington Flash this evening.
