I can fly too!

A view of Frodhsam with the Weaver bend going round to the left, the Manchester Ship Canal and just right of center in the distance is No. 6 tank

A couple of sports stadiums - I think they play badminton or something there...

The Isle of Man coastline near the airport

I flew to the Isle of Man today (work) so I messed around with my digiscoping camera on the way back, hence the scenery photos.

I called in at Seaforth when I got back - the light was awful and there was nothing to report so I'll gloss over that bit.

Late evening I wandered over to HGF. As soon as I got ut of the car I heard a racket and looked up to see a tatty female Sparrowhawk gliding over my head and being escorted to safe airspace by around 25-30 Swallows!

The local Kestrel was knocking around and the south field has quite a few Lapwings and a couple of Skylarks plus one of the local Oystercatchers feeding on the lawn. Two Whitethroats and a Willow Warbler were singing nearby. On the pool the Great Crested Grebe is still incubating. Also present was a female Common Scoter which being a very dozy p***ock I mis-identified. Thank you Jonathan for putting me straight.
